Message from Megan's Mom

Message from Aletha:

Our daughter, Megan Montgomery is missing.
Megan left sometime after midnight on Friday--irratic circumstances...she had commitments on Saturday and has not returned.  Her FB account is shut down and there has been no response from any calls/texts. Her last known contact was with a friend/DECA advisor from Ohio. He said around 3pm on Saturday afternoon she text him saying, "Surprise! I'm coming to visit and I'm almost in Columbus." He wasn't at home and wouldn't be returning until late Sunday and told her it wouldn't be a good idea to visit because of his current relationship. She replied, "Oh." No one has had any contact with her since. Eric is a long distance e-friend from several years back who visited her for lunch at Mercer on his way up 75 from Jacksonville, FL. He hasn't seen her in 3 1/2 years face to face and was taken back by the text.

She has a boyfriend of two years here. She got off on the wrong track and completed a four month rehab last fall. She was back in college and we believe doing well...living with us, working, and going to college--regrouping. So, the GBI is working with Ohio and states in between due to the unusual departure and folks they've spoken with indicate no evidence of drug involvement, but we are keeping all paths open.

If you have any contacts nationwide, please communicate the need for all eyes looking for her. Clearly she's not okay emotionally, mentally, and probably physically at this point. Due to previous circumstance last year, she has a prepaid phone, a rechargeable debit card, and an older car. So, if she had any funds, it's very little. She has no credit cards.

Please repost anywhere you can.

If you have any tips or see Megan please email meganmontgomeryismissing@yahoo.com or call 678-492-5767.

Thank you again,

The Montgomery's

  7. She went to Columbus Ohio. And who knows if PCPD actually saw her? They wanted nothing to do with the case in the first place so does that sound like a way to quiten things down?

  11. Before everybody starts bashing the police (who have done nothing wrong), remember- they put their lives on the line every day for us. They don't deserve these negative comments! Prayers going up for Megan & her family!!!!

  16. I'm not bashing anyone. But so far that is the only thing that has been proven, that she was in Ohio Saturday around 3. Her boyfriend is with the family searching day in and day out. She has a straight talk phone which can't be traced.

  17. To the parents of Megan. I will pray for you. You should contact Outpost for Hope. They help locate missing persons. It is a charitable organization started by the sister of a young girl who went missing and they got no help from the police. You can look it up on the internet
