Megan has been found!

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."
                                     -Psalm 91:4

As of Wednesday, February 9th, at 3:00 pm Megan Elizabeth Montgomery was reunited with her family.

On Tuesday evening her parents were made aware that her car had been found in "Over-The-Rhine," an area in Cincinnati, OH.  They, along with her brother Mark and other family members immediately made their way to Ohio to find her.  Once there, local news stations aired her story and they enlisted law enforcement to help.  After a long eight hours of searching with no answers, Tony, Megan's father, received a call from a woman that said she had Megan and that she was safe.  The woman took Megan to them and after their reunion she was taken to a local hospital to make sure she was ok.

As of tonight, Megan is safe and at home with her parents.  They traveled from Ohio back to Georgia today and made a  stop at their church for a prayer/ praise meeting before going home.

The Montgomery's are forever thankful for any and everyone who helped search, post messages on any social media network, contacted radio/ tv stations and those who prayed for Megan.

Most of all they are thankful to their Savior, Jesus Christ who kept Megan "under His wings" during these devastating 12 days.  They never gave up hope and continued to believe in the promises of God.

"I've always believed that miracles happen, but today we had one in our (own) lives." -- Father, Tony Montgomery

Megan is still missing.  Day 6.

Sadly Megan has not been seen or heard from since Saturday, January 28th at 3:30pm.  Her 1997 green mustang with a beige hood has not been spotted either.

Tony and Aletha, her parents, are still desperately trying to find their daughter while trying to contain their composure.  Although it is very hard they are trying to live day to day hoping any moment their Meg will contact them.  They are very appreciative of all the positive/ compassionate comments and abundance of prayers.  Family and friends have created a wonderful support system for them and they are forever grateful.

At this point in time police nor large media stations such as News Stations can do anything further than the simple person to person notification, due to Megan's age.

Please take a few minutes and post this link on any media, websites or social media outlet you may have access to.  The internet is an amazing tool in situations like this, if used correctly.

Keep an eye out for Megan and her car.  She could be anywhere.  If you see her or her car please call 911 or The Montgomery's at 678-492-5767.

Tony & Aletha are holding tight to God's promises and believe He holds the future and is still performing miracles.

Message from Megan's Mom

Message from Aletha:

Our daughter, Megan Montgomery is missing.
Megan left sometime after midnight on Friday--irratic circumstances...she had commitments on Saturday and has not returned.  Her FB account is shut down and there has been no response from any calls/texts. Her last known contact was with a friend/DECA advisor from Ohio. He said around 3pm on Saturday afternoon she text him saying, "Surprise! I'm coming to visit and I'm almost in Columbus." He wasn't at home and wouldn't be returning until late Sunday and told her it wouldn't be a good idea to visit because of his current relationship. She replied, "Oh." No one has had any contact with her since. Eric is a long distance e-friend from several years back who visited her for lunch at Mercer on his way up 75 from Jacksonville, FL. He hasn't seen her in 3 1/2 years face to face and was taken back by the text.

She has a boyfriend of two years here. She got off on the wrong track and completed a four month rehab last fall. She was back in college and we believe doing well...living with us, working, and going to college--regrouping. So, the GBI is working with Ohio and states in between due to the unusual departure and folks they've spoken with indicate no evidence of drug involvement, but we are keeping all paths open.

If you have any contacts nationwide, please communicate the need for all eyes looking for her. Clearly she's not okay emotionally, mentally, and probably physically at this point. Due to previous circumstance last year, she has a prepaid phone, a rechargeable debit card, and an older car. So, if she had any funds, it's very little. She has no credit cards.

Please repost anywhere you can.

Thank you again,

Latest Update

Lastest News as of 1pm via Megan's Mom, Aletha:

FROM: Tony, Aletha, Matt, Chas, Mark-Jen & Dan

Thank you all for everything. I (Aletha) have spoken directly with Chief Dodd. Megan was seen Saturday morning around 11:30am on HWY 101 between Rockmart and Rome. Several leads are being followed and there is a state/ surrounding area alert for Megan and the car. Leads have been found indicating irratic behavior by Megan and are being followed.

We still need your prayers continually. Megan, in our eyes is "missing," but according to law enforcement an Amber Alert can not be issued because of her age, 22, and she initially left freely

If you have any info or tips please call 678-492-5767 or email meganmontgomeryismissing@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your on going prayers,
